From Seed to Plate: Six School Organic Garden Seminars – 2008
Creating edible school gardens supports student well being and our sustainable future. It also teaches about plants and their vital role on the planet.
This series of monthly practical workshops for teachers, parents and grounds staff will help to develop skills in establishing and developing organic gardens in the school grounds. The sessions will include planning and building garden beds, soil fertility, composting, planting, pest control and cooking produce from the school garden. Each seminar will include seasonal tasks and a theme with support from local experts in different community and school gardens around Hobart.
These sessions will be hands on so be prepared to get dirty!
Participants can register for single sessions or the series.
